In addition, as part of the celebration, the reenactors will demonstrate a few more episodes from the history of the Red Army: battle with the Japanese troops at Khalkhyn Gol (August 1939), one of the episodes of the Battle of Stalingrad, and the decisive assault of Sapun-gora (May 1944) during the Battle of Sevastopol.
The Central Museum of Armored Vehicles and Weapons located on the territory of the Patriot Park is also preparing for the celebration. It will host a solemn meeting of the veterans of the Armed Forces. Veterans will be awarded commemorative jubilee medals “100 Years of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army.” This medal was established by the National Russian Public Organization of War and Military Service Veterans.
