Kalashnikov Group is testing a set of arctic equipment
«Kalashnikov» continues to test new equipment, equipment and equipment of the project "Nanook" for military personnel of special units performing tasks at low temperatures. The inspection takes place on the territory of three autonomous districts: Khanty-Mansiysk, Yamalo-Nenets and Taimyr (Dolgan-Nenets).
“All the prototypes of the basic elements of equipment in the real conditions of the Far North have shown themselves with an efficiency of 80%. We will take into account all the wishes of experts, and determine the composition of the optimal range of equipment and materials. The Kalashnikov Concern is ready to offer accumulated experience for solving the tasks of ensuring security in the Arctic of both military and civilian objects”, commented Vladimir Dmitriev, Director General of the Kalashnikov Group.
The equipment includes more than 40 items, including a set of clothes "Nanuk", a snowmobile, a sleeping system "3 in 1", an arctic tent, transport containers to ensure the safety of medical supplies, communications, food rations and much more.
Recall that the set of "Nanook" was created with the participation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Association for the Promotion of the Development of the Arctic Territories «Severniy Desant». All items of equipment were tested by Kalashnikov Concern specialists and servicemen of the Russian Defense Ministry during an Arctic expedition in March 2018 on the Yamal and Taimyr Peninsulas. The temperature during the tests reached -47С, the wind - up to 25 m / s and higher, the humidity up to 100%.
